It's not often that I receive an email regarding artists, but this morning when I got to work, a coworker of mine had forwarded me an email with the work from a really great, talented artist. His name was Paul Smith, born in 1921. Mr. Smith suffered from spastic cerebral palsy which impeded his speech and mobility. Despite his hardships, Paul taught himself how to create masterful works of art using the typewriter; even going so far as to learn how to create shading, while only using the keys @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) _ . Paul passed away in 2007 but some of his work remains:
